Fringe Tree (Chionanthus pygmaeus) is a small evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. Its leaves and bark are traditionally used as a mild anti‑inflammatory and antipyretic, and are sometimes applied topically for skin conditions such as eczema or fungal infections. When used externally it is generally safe, but the plant is not recommended for ingestion and large amounts may cause mild gastrointestinal upset; people with allergies to related species should exercise caution.
